"Power and versatility in a mid-sized excavator"

Gradall's XL 2000 Series excavators are without equal in meeting industry needs for compact, cost-efficient machines that can perform high productivity digging and demolition as well as fine grading. Low-profile, telescoping boom machines that can work under bridges and tree limbs where conventional, knuckle boom excavators cannot. Machines that are comfortable and easy to operate and maintain. Machines that can enhance profitability, replacing many other machines on busy jobsites.

"Load-sensing hydraulics for power and economy"

At the heart of Gradall's XL series design is a pair of load-sensing hydraulic piston pumps. Automaticall , the system delivers tha exact power needed for big, high-productivity excavation and breaking or for slping and finishing work. There's no mode selection guesswork. No wasted fuel. Plus, an electronic monitor indicates low hydraulic fluid level, high fluid temperature and filter condition.

"A choice of undercarriages for all-terrain mobility"

On very rough terrain, steel mills and other demanding environments, the XL 2200 and XL 2210 models have tractor-type crawler undercarriages with triple grouser heavy-duty pads, sealed track links, lubricated and sealed idlers and rollers and hydraulic track tension adjustments. For quick-footed mobility on rough terrain, the XL 2300 has a four-wheel-drive wheeled undercarriage, with extra working stability provided by a pair of stabilizers and axle oscillaiton lock.

"Cabs designed for efficient operation"

XL 2200 and XL 2300 models are equipped with spacious, comfortable operator cabs. Joystick controls are built into the adjustable seating module and cabs have a roll-up front window as well as filtered fresh air heater and defroster, plus an acoustical lining. Cabs have large windows with tinted safety glass, overhead skylights and outside mirrors, providing excellent jobsite visibility.

"Remote operation for hazardous work"

The XL 2210 model is uniquely equipped with a radio-controlled transmitter. Worn as a harness, the transmitter has no wires to tangle or inhibit operator movements or working boom view. From a safe distance on hazardous waste cleanup sites or in metal mill maintenance work, the operator uses joystick controls to control boom movements and maneuver the machine into position.
